The Wedding Shop has a unique opportunity for an experienced or new-to-the-industry, positive-minded, people pleasing person to join our team. As a wedding officiant, you will be responsible for performing pre-scripted wedding ceremonies, completing the marriage license, and filing it with the appropriate courthouse. This is a special position that is emotionally fulfilling and rewarding beyond belief; however, requires the utmost professionalism and punctuality. A genuine love for people and comfort with speaking in front of a crowd are characteristics of the ideal candidate. Pay rates are increased for translating and performing bilingual ceremonies. Assistance with obtaining the proper qualifications and full training will be provided to the right person. The Wedding Shop serves everyone. Key Responsibilities
- Communicating with the client 3-5 days prior to the wedding to confirm final details.
- Ability to operate Dropbox and print Word or Adobe documents
- Traveling to various wedding ceremony locations throughout Bay County and the surrounding area.
- Performing wedding ceremonies in accordance with company standards, legal requirements, and client preferences.
- Collaborating with other on-site wedding vendors to ensure the ceremony runs smoothly.
- Delivering a flawless and heartfelt ceremony that leaves a lasting impression on the guests and the couple.
- Filing marriage licenses with the appropriate courthouse in a timely manner and in accordance with state laws.
Qualifications
- Have reliable transportation to events in the Bay County and surrounding areas.
- Experience in public speaking or performing arts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Access to Facebook for Job Board posts and event updates
- Active Florida Notary License and/or an ordination from a recognized organization
- Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple scheduling commitments
Job Details
Type: Contract, 1099
Pay: $75-125 per ceremony, plus travel outside of Bay County
Pay Period: 1st & 15th of each month
